Men’s Befriending

What’s it about?

Men’s Space offers support and friendship mainly for men aged over 50 years old living in the Ladywood, Edgbaston and Harborne areas. We aim to help every man to feel connected, supported and thrive in life, supporting men who are feeling isolated and lonely, and who are keen to meet others and try new things that help to engage in their community.

Men’s Space is about:

– Friendship

– Support

– Encouragement

– Fun

– Challenge

– Adventure

Karis offers support and friendship to those who need it most. We want to come alongside men in need of this kind of support, acting as good neighbours and in really practical ways, to help them through whatever hardships are arising in their lives.

How can we help?

We run a range of activities that men can get involved in, providing support and encouragement, and enabling friendships to be formed that can help reduce isolation and loneliness. By meeting together, it will help our community to feel more connected and creates opportunities for men to have a sense of belonging and purpose. Some of our activities are:

– Board games

– Woodwork

– DIY

– Gardening

– Walking

– Cycling

– Model making

– Badminton

– Tennis

– Snooker

– Darts
