Funding updates
We are delighted to have received funding this month from the Truelight Trust and the Grace Trust, both for our Children and Families Work. Funds from the Grace Trust will be used specifically to support our baby bank provision, which this year has helped over 500 families to date. We've also received £150 raised from the sale of second hand school uniform by a friend's daughter.
We welcomed a staff team from Zurich Municipal Insurance this month, who came to help us with baby bank, spending half a day with us helping to sort donations. They also bring £500 worth of donations for our stock. We are so grateful to them for spending time with us.
We were also pleased to have been successful with two bids to Birmingham City Council for funding; one for our Warm Welcome group at Ladywood Methodist Church and one from the council's Winter Food Aid Fund. The latter provided £5,000 towards toiletries, nappies and formula/food stock for the baby bank.
We were sad this month to say goodbye to our Finance and Operations Officer, Victoria Yates, and subsequently welcomed into this role a new member of staff, Felicité! Felicité has a background in accounting and finance and speaks five languages!
