Volunteer with us
All of our activities rely on the time generously given by our brilliant volunteers, whether motivated by giving something back to the community, developing their experience or skills in a particular area, or wanting to be more connected and involved in their neighbourhood.
If you have as little as an hour or two a week free there are a number of roles and activities volunteers can help with. Have a look through the different projects we run, fill out a volunteer form and get in touch with us to chat about what project or activities you might be interested in. We’re happy to tell you more about the scheme and introduce you to what we do without you needing to make any commitment.
Please do be aware that if you do decide you want to volunteer we ask you to provide two references who can comment on your suitability for the role, and that certain roles may require a DBS check.
Our volunteer application form is also available from the resources page and has brief descriptions of the roles that we are currently looking for help with.
Current volunteers can find other resources, including copies of our policies and procedures on the resources page.
Keep up to date
As well as getting involved directly in our work having people who support us in prayer, share our work with others and stay up to date with what is going on is an enormous source of encouragement and helps to widen our support base.
If you’d like to receive our newsletters and other updates you can either send us an e-mail with ‘Joining Friends of Karis’ as the subject line, or give us a like on facebook or follow us on twitter.
If you need anything more from us to help you share about our work please do let us know, we’d also be happy to come and speak at an event you’re organising.
